In November 2016, fifteen young researchers, both mature specialists and beginners, including undergraduates, were interviewed about the progress in their investigations supported by the Russian Science Foundation. ZIOC RAS received the RSF grant in 2015 and it seems a right time to sum up what has been so far done in different research areas covered by the grant.
On October 5th 2016, in the ZIOC library, Prof. Keith J. Stevenson gave a talk on
Development of Advanced Tools for Catalyst Evaluation and Screening. Prof. Stevenson is
Director of the Skoltech Center for Electrochemical Energy Storage, Skolkolvo Institute of Science and Technology, Moscow.
On October 26th 2016, at ZIOC RAS, Hitachi High-Technologies held a prize ceremony led by Mr. Osamu Kimura, the Director General ofHitachi High-Technologies Europe. He awarded Prof. Dr. Valentine P. Ananikov with the annual prize established by the company – the Award For a New Approach and Outstanding Contribution to Development of New Standards in Electron Microscopy Applications in Chemistry.
On September 22 2016, Prof Alexander Dudnik (Department of Chemistry, University of California, Davis) visited Zelinsky Institute and gave a lecture "Novel Synthetic Tools and Designs toward High Efficiency Organic Electronic Materials.
PhD Ksenia Egorova (ZIOC Laboratory of Metal-Complex and Nanoscale Catalysts) has become a Laureate of the prestigious L’Oréal-UNESCO Award for the outstanding contribution to the advancement of science recognized by academic community.
On June 29th 2016, Mr. Bhaskar Balakrishnan, a renowned Indian diplomat and statesman, the President of the Association of Indian Diplomats (an association of former Indian ambassadors) visited Zelinsky Institute.
