Dombay Organic Conference Cluster DOCC-2016

18 july 2016 г.

Dombay Organic Conference Cluster (DOCC-2016) was conducted from May 29 to June 3 2016 in Dombay and gathered leading organic chemists of this country and the globe – 270 participants from 27 countries.

The most pressing issues of organic chemistry from theory to applications were discussed during 6 days of the Cluster which was comprised of a few academic events: the International Conference Modern Trends in Organic Chemistry, 9th Eurasian school in Heterocyclic Chemistry and the Organic Chemistry Conference of Young Scientists. 7 plenary and 13 key lectures were delivered. Profs. A. Dilman and A. Terent’ev represented ZIOC RAS.

Celebrated scientists gave plenary lectures at DOCC-16: Irina Beletskaya, MSU, Moscow (Catalysis in Organic Synthesis), David Milstein, Weizmann Institute of Science, Rehovolt, Israel (Design and Application of Metal Catalyzed Reactions for Sustainable Chemistry), Shu Kobayashi, University of Tokyo, Tokyo, Japan (Organic Synthesis and Catalysis for Sustainable Society. Flow "Fine" Synthesis: High Yielding and Selective Organic Synthesis by Flow Methods), Victor Sniechkus, Queen's University, Ontario, Canada (Early and (Mainly) Recent Views of the Metalated Flatlands), Dean Toste, University of California, Berkeley, USA (Concepts and Catalysis for Ion-Controlled Reactivity in Organic Synthesis), Yoshinori Yamamoto, Tohoku University, Sendai, Japan and Dailan University of Technology, Dailan, China (Direct C-H Bond Transformation Toward Construction of p-Conjugated Polycycles), and Jonathan Sessler, University of Texas, Austin, USA (Porphyrin Analogues: A Personal Journey).

The next Cluster has been scheduled for 2018. Website http://docc-2016.ru
